Melissa
Melissa is an Iowa native residing in rural Indianola. With a background as a veterinary technician, medicine has always been an interest. She first became interested in holistic health after having children and dealing with a whole bunch of issues! That passion grew after seeing the drastic impact a diet overhaul made for herself and her small children. Not knowing anything other than conventional medicine she attended the Institute of Integrative Nutrition to become an Integrative Health Coach in 2017.
She went on to be board-certified in 2019. She has 3 years of previous experience working as a health coach in a functional medicine clinic. She and her husband Brett, have 2 teenage children, Ruby and Jasper. They live on a small farm with cows, goats, chickens, 3 dogs, and 4 cats. Outside of Holistic Health Melissa works as a ceramic artist from home, and enjoys hiking, yoga, and being with family.
